Theatre
I’m a playwright, formerly a writer-in-residence at Theatre 503. They called us the 503/5. Because there were five of us. That’s why they need writers.
My new play Wingman is coming this summer. More info as and when.
I wrote and performed Dirty Great Love Story with Katie Bonna, which was at the Pleasance this year for the Edinburgh fringe, where it won a Fringe First. It returned in March to Bristol Old Vic and Soho theatres and heads to New York in June. It’s produced by Polly Ingham, directed by Pia Furtado.
I wrote the short musical Westminster Side Story with Natalia Sheppard for 503’s Coalition season last year. It was picked up by the HighTide festival, and became the full-length Nicked, which played at HighTide and in London at the Criterion.
I wrote and performed a solo show, Skittles at the Edinburgh fringe last year, which was commissioned for Radio 4 as Love & Sweets.
I’m writing a treatment for a BBC1 drama series with the director Zam Salim.
I was London slam champion 2012, and one of that year’s Time Out Culture 100. Thanks for voting (if you voted for me).
I adapted Alice Through the Looking Glass for the director Charlie Westenra up at the Fringe in 2009.
I wrote and directed the play Dad’s Money, which ran at the Pleasance in Edinburgh and London in 2008.
I also do poetry.
